más de mi vida

well this week was super super tiring because i had to teach every day which meant a long time spent on lesson plans...we have to fill out these huge sheets that are basically a script of what we'll say during our lesson including things like where we think they might have problems with the material and how we'll deal with it, etc. 

yesterday, saturday, i went with jessica (one of the girls in my class) to search for an apartment. we ended up looking at only one...it was a really nice one and doable, price wise. so hopefully we'll find a cheaper one but we've been trying and its really hard to communicate with these people...they just move on a much slower timeline. 

after that we went to a copule other places asking for rooms, none which were available.

after that, we went to a cafe on the plaza de armas and sat outside cause it was super nice. there we were harassed by a homeless man, a boy selling winnie-the-pooh slogans, and a man who wanted to draw our portrait. 

so we parted ways and i walked around the area, which was super cool actually. that place was hoppin. it was really nice to not have anything to do and just be able to roam around for a while. and i found headphones that actually fit in my ears!!! SUPER exciting since i guess my ears are tinier than normal cause usually the bud things just pop out which is obnoxious. also found adaptors and bought two, totalling about 3 bucks. good thing i bought them here and not in the us where theyre like 15 bucks.

then i went home and took a nap. woohoo. rill exciting.

sunday:

well when i woke up this morning at 8 am to the sound of my senora's tv blaring, i decided that i should leave the apartment. so i had my breakfast of tea and bread and butter and headed out the door to go to the contemporary museum. it was a pretty cool place. after i was finished there i went to a freaking stellar cafe that was on the corner of the next block. it was called sicosis and had old beer bottles and funky posters all over the wall. it was great to just watch people through their huge windows, not to mention the free amaretto shot they gave me. 

now i am at a cafe called coppelia, obviously with wifi....laura and stephen wanted to find a cool place so we could search for apartments/jobs/check emails/do homework. so here we are. now i must go so that i actually do my homework.
